Summary

Between 2017 and 2022, the World Health Assembly and the Executive Board approved twenty-nine resolutions and twenty-three decisions with implications for both implementation and costing in the biennium 2024–2025 under the base segment of the Programme budget (total value of US$ 1.75 billion). Proposed programme budget 2024-2025 dedicates a section to the Governing bodies resolutions and decisions guiding regional and headquarters priority-setting for the biennium 2024–2025 and this explainer sets out a list of resolutions and decision, which costings underlie Table 1 and Figure 9 of the Programme budget document.
