Michael R. Bloomberg
WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Noncommunicable Diseases and Injuries
Appointed in August 2016
Investing in public health is an opportunity to save lives millions at a time. So many of the world’s most common causes of illness and death are preventable, and unless we act, the toll will continue to grow. A different future is possible. We’ve seen how innovative policies can make a difference, and working together, we can help more cities and countries pass them – and push for bold new ways to save and improve people’s lives.
