Evaluation of WHO contribution in Iraq (2024)
The Republic of Iraq is a middle-income country recovering from decades of socio-political upheaval, from a humanitarian crisis that peaked around 2017 with millions of internally displaced people (IDPs) and refugees living in camps and from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the current transition towards long-term development and the pending arrival of a new WHO Representative, this evaluation is timed to ensure optimum utility in strategic planning for WHO.

Evaluation of WHO contribution in Djibouti (2024)
The Evaluation of the WHO contribution at the country level in Djibouti was requested by WHO Djibouti Country Office (WCO) and jointly commissioned by the WHO Evaluation Office and the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO). This evaluation took place at a time when Djibouti was undergoing rapid transition, embarking on new processes of support to the Djibouti Ministry of Health (MoH) in the current context.

Synthesis of Country Programme Evaluations (2021)
This report presents the findings of a synthesis of seven country programme evaluations (CPEs) conducted by the WHO Evaluation Office between 2017 and 2020 (India, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Romania, Rwanda, Senegal and Thailand – all available on this webpage below). CPEs identify key achievements, challenges and areas for improvement, document best practices and innovations of WHO’s work in a given country, and identify systemic issues requiring attention at corporate level. They contribute to organizational learning in order to enhance achieving impact at country level and results documented in the Thirteenth General Programme of Work 2019–2023 (GPW13). The synthesis documented and identified cross-cutting lessons on key achievements and recurrent issues for use by WHO management to improve corporate performance, processes and guidance.
