Dr Ana Luiza Vilela Borges is a Professor at the University of São Paulo School of Nursing where she researches sexual and reproductive health with a focus on contraception and pregnancy intention. 

She has expertise in population-based research and pregnancy intention measurement working in Brazil and Mozambique and is proficient in Portuguese and English. She is based in São Paulo, Brazil, with her husband and two daughters.
