David Ross
Biography
David Ross, raised in Nigeria and the UK, studied medicine at Oxford University and epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
He is currently a part-time consultant to the Child Health Initiative of the FIA Foundation, working closely with PMNCH, where he works on the technical underpinnings for a Global Forum for Adolescents, planned for October 2023.
He is also supporting the EMPOWA-Zim (Empowering Professionals for the Well-being of Adolescents in Zimbabwe) professional development programme which is led by the Biomedical Research and Training Institute/LSHTM´s THRU-Zim (the Health Research Unit, Zimbabwe) and the University of Zimbabwe. He is also a “Professor Extra-ordinary” (ie. honorary professor) in Epidemiology and Public Health of Stellenbosch University, where he chairs the Advisory Board of the Institute for Life Course Health Research (ILCHR). He has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Adolescent Health since 2015.
