Dr Indeewarie E. Gunaratna

Dr. Indeewarie Gunaratna is a public health specialist working as a Consultant Community Physician in Anti Filariasis Campaign, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. She is a medical doctor, an epidemiologist, a statistician and currently specializing on medical entomology and applied parasitology. She has been in the public health sector for more than 15 years. She also possesses experience in vector borne diseases for more 10 years. She has working experience in Malaria, Dengue and Filariasis. She has thorough understanding on strategies, related activities, disease surveillance and challenges faced during implementation on common NTDs in Sri Lanka; Leprosy, Rabies and Leishmaniasis.
