Erin Kahle
Biography
Dr. Erin Kahle is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan where she is also the Deputy Director of the Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities. She is an infectious disease epidemiology with a program of research focusing on biological, interpersonal, and structural factors associated with sexual and reproductive health in vulnerable and marginalized populations. Her work includes more than 20 years in public health and clinical research with expertise in factors that influence sexual health risk, barriers to accessing prevention and healthcare, and developing effective strategies to reduce adverse sexual and reproductive health outcomes. She has a specific research concentration in integrated behavioral and biomedical HIV prevention, stress and stigma among sexual and gender minority populations, health disparities in vulnerable populations.
