Hannah Clapham
Biography
Hannah Clapham is an Assistant Professor at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. She is an infectious disease epidemiologist and mathematical modeler. Her research focuses on understanding the dynamics and burden of infections diseases, particularly vaccine preventable diseases. She did her MSc and PhD at Imperial College London, UK and postdoctoral fellowship and Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, USA. She then headed the mathematical modelling group at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Vietnam. Since 2020 she has been an Assistant Professor at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore.
Current projects include estimating the burden and vaccination impact of Japanese Encephalitis in South East Asia using modelling techniques and modelling the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on transmission and disease in Singapore. She has also worked on many studies understanding dengue burden and impact in Vietnam and Thailand, and on the impact of vaccination policy on a range of vaccine preventable diseases.
