Dr Lungten Z. Wangchuk

Dr Wangchuk has been Senior Technical Officer at IOS since January 2021, using her in-depth experience to provide oversight to all three levels of WHO.

She brings more than two decades of diverse experience in technical expertise, leadership, management, and oversight functions having worked in Bhutan and in many other countries across the WHO regions, Regional Office, and currently at WHO Headquarters.

She is a medical doctor and a public health expert trained at Lady Hardinge Medical College, India, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA. She also brings exceptional experience from the field/communities and diplomatic skills in dealing with member states and management, colleagues, and clients of the Organization.

In her role, she strives to improve and add value to WHO’s work.
