Michelle McIsaac
Biography
Dr Michelle McIsaac joined WHO in 2016. Michelle is an Economist in the Health Labour Market and partnerships team where she leads WHO’s work on gender and equity in the global health and care workforce. She also oversees work on geographic inequities, the rural and remote health workforce, and analysis of national health labour markets.
Michelle McIsaac earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining WHO, Michelle advised hospital, regional, and national decision-making bodies including the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, the Medical Services Advisory Committee of Australia and the European Commission. She has held academic positions in Canada, Australia, Germany and the Netherlands.
