WHO Commissioner on Social Connection

Mr. Amine Tehraoui was appointed Minister of Health and Social Protection by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on October 23, 2024. His appointment reflects a career built on economic expertise, public service, and strategic leadership.

Born in 1976, Mr. Tehraoui graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds a Master’s degree in Finance as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature. He began his career in economic consulting in China, then joined the investment bank Attijari Finances Corp., where he led major privatization, M&A, and IPO transactions,
contributing to the growth of Morocco’s capital markets.

In 2007, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, where he helped design and implement two national strategies: the Green Morocco Plan and the Halieutis Plan.

He later became CEO of a leading private group in the retail and commercial real estate sectors, and served on the boards of several institutional companies. Building on this experience, he co-founded an independent investment bank operating in Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Mr. Tehraoui’s career bridges public policy and private enterprise, with a constant focus on supporting Morocco’s economic development.
