Raman Rao

Raman Rao is the Chief Executive Officer at Hilleman Laboratories supporting the development of vaccines and Biologicals for Low and Middle income countries. He has more than 20+ years of experience in Research and Development, Manufacturing and commercialization of vaccines and Biologics in global pharma and biotech companies. 

From 2014-2020, he served as Vice President of Global Product Operations at Takeda Vaccines, Singapore where he enhanced the global product portfolio while successfully leading an international team across Japan, Singapore and United States in areas of Dengue, Norovirus, Zika, Polio, Flu and other commercial vaccines. Between 2011-2014 he served as Head of External R&D at Sanofi and prior to that he served as the Head of R&D at Sanofi (Shantha) in India. Raman started his career at Shantha Biotech in R&D in 2001 and has an MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India and and MBA from XLRI, India.
