Biography

Dr. Sharon H. Anderson received her PhD in Reproductive Physiology from Pennsylvania State University in the USA.  She is a certified high complexity laboratory director (HCLD) in andrology and embryology by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).  Dr. Anderson has been an in vitro fertilization (IVF) Lab Director for over 25 years, and she was a Clinical Research Director at a large private fertility center.  She was also appointed to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Reproductive Medicine Member Committee in 2021, and she is actively involved with the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), serving as the representative IVF Lab Director and Membership Chair. She also is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Sharon Anderson held an adjunct faculty appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine Department of Medicine Ob/Gyn Department, where she reviewed research projects proposed by Ob/Gyn residents and reproductive endocrinology fellows.  Dr. Anderson’s research interests include oocyte and embryo competence and non-invasive methods of evaluating embryo quality to help optimize birth outcomes for infertile patients.
