Tamar Chitashvili
Biography
Tamar Chitashvili is a Cluster Lead for Women's, Children's, and Adolescents' Health at Management sciences for Health.
She is an obstetrician and gynecologist and public health professional with over 20 years experiences in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and programs targeting equitable access to and quality of care for maternal, newborn, and child health, reproductive health, family planning and non-communicable diseases (NCD) services in over 40 LMICs.
Prior to joining MSH, Dr Chitashvili was technical director of maternal and newborn health at Corus International, where she led the company’s maternal and newborn health and quality of care portfolio, focused on fragile settings. She also effectively led the MNCH/FP/RH/NCDs portfolio for USAID’s Global Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project in 27 countries. Dr Chitashvili is working extensively with global, regional, and country actors and partnerships to advance global MNCH/FP/RH policy dialogue and measurement agenda.
