Access to the archives is by written request. To obtain relevant results, it is important carefully to determine the subject of the search and the type of document required. Specific details, such as dates, names or places will help the archivists fully to understand your requirements.

Persons wishing to carry out a search need to register using the form below. This form may also be used for requests for information from the Records and Archives service.

Terms and conditions

  1. Access rule to WHO Archives is 20 years.
  2. I will not take any copy of archive documents and images without proper authorization.
  3. In any subsequent publication using the World Health Organization material I will give clear credits to WHO and send, free of charge, one copy of the publication concerned to WHO.
  4. In the event that I am given any material under limited access or copyright protection, I will not make any copy without special clearance.
