Module 3

Data verification and system assessment

The site assessment of data quality involves assessment process of data quality at health facilities and districts. While conducting a desk review, a reviewer can examine the completeness and consistency of data from health facilities. There are two processes through which a site assessment can be conducted to determine the health data accuracy:

a discrete/cross-sectional sample survey of facilities and districts;

checklists for facility staff and district supervisors as part of a routine system of data quality assurance.
