The 38th meeting of the European RCC will review annual updates submitted by WHO European Region Member States on the status of national poliomyelitis (polio) eradication programmes in 2023. The RCC will assess, based on available evidence, whether there was poliovirus transmission in the WHO European Region in 2023, and thereby conclude whether the Region has maintained its polio-free status.
