Event highlights

4 March 2025

Over 190 national immunization programme staff, partner representatives and journalists attending this webinar received a detailed update on progress in the WHO European Region towards the goals and strategic priorities of the European Immunization Agenda 2030 (EIA2030).

Presentations included an overview of the EIA2030 monitoring and evaluation framework, and a review of progress per indicator as published in the EIA2030 Technical Progress Report for 2023. Dr Ole Wichmann, Chair of the European Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (ETAGE) also presented ETAGE’s conclusions and recommendations for accelerating progress towards the EIA2030 milestones and targets as agreed upon by all Member States.

The webinar further served as an opportunity to launch and provide a virtual tour of the new EIA2030 data dashboard, developed with financial support from the European Union to help monitor and assess progress, and to increase the quality of data collection and reporting by Member States.

Event notice

As part of EIA2030’s monitoring, evaluation and accountability process, WHO/Europe produces an annual technical progress report and has developed an online dashboard to visualize advancements towards milestones and targets at both regional and country levels.

The aim of this webinar is to update Member States, partners and other stakeholders on EIA2030 implementation, introduce the EIA2030 dashboard, and share recommendations of the European Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (ETAGE) to accelerate regional efforts.

Background

EIA2030 defines a vision and strategy to achieve the full benefits of immunization in the WHO European Region. Endorsed by Member States in September 2021, EIA2030 provides a framework for coordinated action to strengthen immunization programmes and reach regional targets.
