Resource guide for the implementation of the Roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030

Overview
The Roadmap on antimicrobial resistance for the WHO European Region 2023–2030supports Member States to identify, prioritize, implement and monitor high impact interventions to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Organized around an AMR Compass, the Roadmap identifies five action areas and six enablers based on a combination of the best available evidence and expert opinion, for Member States to adapt to their own national contexts. Each action area and enabler has a set of high-impact interventions and is intended as a practical and adaptable tool for Member States to convene all relevant national AMR stakeholders, reach consensus on their priorities and inform the investment cases for action on AMR. This comprehensive resource guide provides additional context, evidence and resources to support Member States with the implementation of the Roadmap on AMR. The 53 interventions of the Roadmap are presented in relation to the relevant action areas and enablers of the AMR Compass. Each intervention is detailed by evidence-based actions and a rational to support its implementation. In addition, a series of personal stories, case examples and country experiences from Member States and diverse stakeholders are included to help provide context, inform a renewed focus on AMR and inspire movement from evidence to action.
