A situation assessment of assistive technology in Azerbaijan

Overview

This report summarizes the current gaps, needs and opportunities for intervention in the field of assistive technology in Azerbaijan. The situational analysis was conducted under the leadership of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan with technical support from the WHO Country Office in Azerbaijan. The report applies a realistic synthesis approach tailored to Azerbaijan’s specific social, cultural, economic and political context. The evaluation examined assistive technology policy and governance, service delivery and the impact of assistive technology on users and their families, aiming to enhance access to affordable, high-quality assistive products in the country.
