WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care (Almaty, Kazakhstan)

The WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care is a European reference point on contextualized primary health care policies. Through pragmatic and actionable policy advice to the Member States, the Centre aims to realize the vision set out in the Declarations of Alma-Ata and Astana for demonstrated impact.

The Centre is a geographically dispersed office of the WHO Regional Office for Europe located in Almaty, Kazakhstan and leads the implementation of the primary health care programme of the Regional Office.

The Centre is an integral part of the Division of Country Health Policies and Systems, with an aligned work programme and harmonized implementation arrangements.
