Overview
The WHO Academy Advisory Group on Lifelong Learning in Health (AG) is an external advisory board tasked with supporting this ambition. Members are recognized thought leaders from the learning technologies, public health and education sectors. The AG provides both scientific and strategic advice on lifelong learning in the health sector to help the WHO Academy achieve its vision of a world in which health and care workers, policy-makers and WHO staff have the skills and competencies they need to achieve health for all.
Role
The AG provides scientific and strategic advice on:
- the WHO Academy’s programmatic direction to ensure achievement of its objectives to advance WHO’s priorities with sustainability, quality and impact at scale;
- the implementation of innovative approaches to deliver lifelong learning opportunities in health globally;
- the mobilization of multi-stakeholder platforms for collaboration and outreach across Member States, inter-governmental organizations, and non-state actors; and
- the leveraging of lessons learned in lifelong-learning and technology, including AI, to improve quality, access and equity
