The WHO Clinical Consortium on Healthy Ageing is a group of global experts that advances research and clinical practice related to Healthy Ageing. The Consortium does this by sharing data, undertaking new analysis on intrinsic capacity and its implications for clinical practice, evaluating clinical interventions to foster Healthy Ageing, and building the capacity of health care professionals on Healthy Ageing.
Consortium workstreams
Research and data sharing
The Consortium fosters data sharing on intrinsic capacity to inform the development of tools for screening and assessment of intrinsic capacity.
Pilots and evaluations
Innovation is required if we are to achieve Healthy Ageing for all. The Consortium will pilot new ways to evaluate clinical interventions to build and maintain intrinsic capacity in real world contexts.
Training for health professionals
Many professionals still need guidance on the concept of Healthy Ageing and its applications. The Healthy Ageing Academy will host training programs to build the capacity of health workers and technical staff on Healthy Ageing.
