Global Technical Meeting 2018

Global Technical Meeting 2018

Highlights from Geneva

The first EIOS Global Technical Meeting was held from 3-5 December 2018 in Geneva, with about 60 participants attending from around the globe and representing various disciplines and sectors. Participants identified priority requirements for public health intelligence and agreed to work collaboratively over the coming years, through working groups coordinated by the EIOS Core Team, to address these requirements. The four priority requirement areas that were identified are 1) contextual information and risk assessment, 2) anomaly detection, 3) communication and information sharing and 4) public health classification schemes.
