Request for proposals: Long term agreement for resources to support Health Workforce team building and trainings

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to enter into long-term agreements (LTA) or framework/umbrella agreements with successful bidders (and select multiple suitable contractors) for the provision of services to support WHO UHL HWF Programme trainings. WHO may during a certain period procure certain services from the selected providers at prices which will remain fixed for the duration of the LTA or framework/umbrella agreement (two years, renewable once for an additional period of one year, at WHO’s discretion). Specific services will be provided under separate Agreements for Performance of Work (APWs), issued by WHO on a case by case basis (each of which will reference the terms of the LTA or framework/umbrella agreement). 

About Health Workforce

The Health Workforce Department of WHO is part of Universal Health Coverage and Health Systems Cluster. The mandate of the department is focused on the development and use of technical norms, standards, guidelines, evidence and capacity building tools to strengthen the capacity of Member States in the area of health workforce policy, planning and management.

The Health Workforce Department leads organizational thinking on the gender and equity in the global health workforce. Notably by bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen gender-transformative policy guidance and implementation capacity to overcome gender biases and inequalities in the global health and social workforce.
