Be active with Olympians from around the world
WHO and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) work together to improve health through sport. On Olympic Day 2020 WHO together with IOC advocates for everyone to #BeActive in their daily routines.
Olympians, athletes and fans all over the globe will come together to be active in the world’s largest 24-hour digital workout. WHO recommends that adults age 18-64 do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity throughout the week, while children and adolescents aged 5-17 years do at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily.
So tune-in and take part alongside Olympic stars like gymnast Laurie Hernandez, brilliant biathlete Martin Fourcade, taekwondo supremo Lutalo Muhammad, wrestler Vinesh Phogat, and everyone's favourite Tongan Pita Taufatofua to name just a few!
Follow all the action throughout the 24 hours on 23 June:
- Live workouts on @olympics Instagram at 11 a.m. local time in different time zones around the world, with locally relevant athletes hosting the live activities.
- A compilation workout video featuring 23 different Olympians from around the world showcasing their favourite workout moves will be available on the Olympic Channel.
