WHO held a briefing for all interested stakeholders on implementation of decision WHA72(13) Public health implications of implementation of the Nagoya Protocol and an update on the PIP Framework vis-à-vis the Nagoya Protocol. The Secretariat updated Member States and stakeholders on its implementation of WHA72(13), provided an overview of the relevant report that the Executive Board will consider at its 148th session (18-26 January 2021), and engaged in discussion regarding work undertaken by the WHO Office of the Legal Counsel and the PIP Framework Secretariat relevant to the Nagoya Protocol and pathogen sharing.
