Introducing the WHO technical package on quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings

16 March 2021 15:00 – 16:00 CET

This webinar, hosted by the WHO Global Learning Laboratory for Quality UHC, will introduce the recently-released WHO technical package on quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable (FCV) settings.

When: 16 March 2021, 15:00 – 16:00, CET online webinar

Given the significant health needs and increasing population numbers in FCV settings, there is an urgent need for attention to quality of care in the push for universal health coverage.

In this context, WHO has developed a technical package comprising two documents:

1) Quality of care in FCV settings: taking action

2) Quality of care in FCV settings: tools and resources compendium

The technical package provides a starting point for planning and implementing action for quality health services in FCV settings, focused around a practical set of quality interventions. This webinar will present an overview of the technical package, discussing how it can be applied to improve the quality of care in the most challenging settings.

Key objectives:

The 60 minute session will allow participants to:

  • Understand the need for a focus on quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings, and the challenges to providing quality care in such settings
  • Learn about the content of the WHO technical package on quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings
  • Consider how the technical package can be applied by a range of stakeholders across different settings
