Lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic show the urgent need for investment in human resources for health. This includes investment in the oversupply of health and care workers, the investment in education, and the investment in protecting the health and care workforce. In addition, enhancing solidarity and cooperation at multilateral, regional, and domestic levels will be critical for sustained investment.
