WHO at the XXIV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics

9 – 12 October 2023
Paris, France

WHO is proud to join the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) at their 24th World Congress in Paris, France, from 9 to 12 October 2023.

Gynaecologists and obstetricians play a critical role in improving the health outcomes of women and girls across the world. From providing maternal and newborn care to advising on contraception, delivering comprehensive safe abortion care, infertility care, and so much more, gynaecologists and obstetricians are critical to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for women everywhere.

WHO sessions

Working in partnership with FIGO, WHO and the United Nations Human Reproduction Programme (HRP) have a dedicated stream of 24+ sessions at the FIGO World Congress, addressing health and rights issues that affect women across the life course.

Sessions will share evidence-based guidelines, advance rights-based approaches, exchange ideas and ultimately strengthen the capacity of healthcare workers to achieve sexual and reproductive health and rights for all.

The services, knowledge and advocacy delivered by gynaecologists and obstetricians around the world are critical for progressing towards universal health coverage (UHC) while also contributing to gender equality.
