Climate-induced health impacts are affecting millions of people globally, from air pollution, infectious diseases, and extreme weather disasters. Access to clean energy is vital for quality healthcare and achieving SDG3. Led by WHO, the Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) accelerates global climate-health solutions. UNOPS, an operational member of ATACH, addresses climate and health challenges through resilient infrastructure, renewable energy, and sustainable supply chains.
This UN High-Level event at COP28 highlighted game-changing partnerships and collaboration that are driving the evolution and sustainability of green health systems, emphasising the urgent need to accelerate and scale up these effective collaborations if we are to transition to a fairer, cleaner, and healthier global environment, now and for the future.
