The World Hearing Forum (WHF) is a WHO-hosted global network of stakeholders advocating for ear and hearing care worldwide that aims to promote and support the implementation of the WHA70.13 on “Prevention of deafness and hearing loss”.
With over 200 members, the Forum drives a global advocacy initiative that provides a common platform and narrative for all stakeholders to collaborate and raise awareness about the need and means for ear and hearing care through its 5 workstreams: (1) Make Listening Safe, (2) World Hearing Day, (3) Changemakers (4) External Relations and (5) Members Engagement, to achieve its advocacy goal.
Since the first membership assembly of the Forum in 2019, the members are regularly meeting and engaging virtually to contribute to the vision of the Forum.
A new members´ welcome and orientation meeting is important to ensure the communication, engagement, and participation in the Forum’s work.
The objectives of the proposed meeting are as follows:
- welcome the new WHF members
- inform WHF members about the activities and plans of the 5 workstreams
- invite and engage new members in the workstreams projects.
More information about the World Hearing Forum is available here.
The event will be a virtual meeting twice on 15 May 2024 at 08:00 (CET) and 16:00 (CET).
