WHO EPI-WIN Webinar: keeping patients and health workers safe when caring for patients with mpox

This webinar will highlight the WHO guideline for WHO infection prevention and control (IPC) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in health facilities when caring for patients with mpox and available tools. An overview of the IPC measures health and care workers should adhere to, will be presented and a country's experience implementing these measures will follow. An opportunity for questions and discussion will be provided. 

Objectives of the webinar: 

  • To emphasize the WHO IPC and WASH recommendations and available tools for healthcare settings where care for patients with suspected or confirmed mpox is provided. 
  • To share practical experiences implementing IPC measures and strengthening WASH services in health facilities during the mpox response.
