WHO is hosting a virtual workshop series to introduce practical and applicable knowledge for Member States and partners to expand on or develop costed national oxygen scale-up plans.
Throughout the series, participants will engage with topical and thematic experts and learn from countries with experience in national medical oxygen ecosystem planning.
Background
The WHO Clinical Management and Operations Unit, Country Readiness Strengthening Department of the World Health Emergencies Programme, held the National Oxygen Scale-Up Framework Meeting: Road to Oxygen in Dakar, Senegal, from 14–16 May 2024. The meeting convened Member States and partners to reach consensus on the necessary components of a costed national medical oxygen template to guide plan development. The final meeting report can be found here.
