WHO EPI-WIN Webinar: integrated sentinel surveillance for influenza and other respiratory viruses – standards and implementation

5 December 2024 13:00 – 14:00 CET
Virtual meeting

For the first time, there is integrated guidance for three respiratory diseases: influenza, SARS-CoV-2 and RSV.

This webinar gives an overview of the WHO standards for integrated surveillance and practical guidance for implementation and inclusion of non-influenza viruses in national sentinel surveillance systems. The webinar serves to better understand the evidence behind the recommended standards, the pathogen specific surveillance trade-offs and practical operational considerations. It provides an objectives-based and resources-based approach for countries to make informed decisions for implementing an integrated surveillance strategy at the national level.
