Visit of the Korea Healthy Cities Partnership

As part of the WHO Healthy Cities programme, a delegation of members of the Korea Healthy Cities Partnership (KHCP), including city mayors, will visit the WHO Academy and the City of Lyon. The visit will focus on urban health priorities, lifelong learning for health, and sustainable development, including site visits to the Maison de la Confluence and La Duchère, neighbourhoods exemplifying urban transformation for health and sustainability at the local level. 
 
Highlights 

• A tour of the WHO Academy and an introduction to the flagship programmes – Healthy Cities and One Health – focusing on climate change and food systems.
• A thematic presentation from the Deputy Mayor of Lyon on local approaches to lifelong learning for health.
• A guided exploration of La Duchère, a Lyon neighbourhood undergoing transformation to promote local health, sustainability and community engagement.
• A visit to the Maison de la Confluence (information centre for the Lyon Confluence urban project), showcasing urban renewal efforts focused on health and environmental design.
• Presentations will focus on lifelong learning for health, climate change and nutrition.
• Opportunities for an interactive Q&A and discussions on future collaborations with the WHO Academy.
