The Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Forum will take place in Bali, Indonesia, from 17 to 19 June 2025. Building from the success of the Forum’s initial meeting in Colombia, this key event will bring together governments, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, academia, activists and other stakeholders, to drive progress in cervical cancer elimination.
Cervical cancer remains a significant health challenge, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Without intensified efforts, annual deaths from cervical cancer could reach 410,000 by 2030. The 2025 Forum is a critical opportunity to galvanise action, share innovations, and strengthen commitments to eliminate cervical cancer and protect future generations from this deadly disease.
The Forum aims to:
- Support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) — reducing cancer incidence and mortality by one-third by 2030; and
- Advance the 90–70–90 targets set in WHO’s Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer by 2030
What happens at the Forum?
The Forum provides a dynamic platform for governments and partners to:
- Discuss global, regional and national progress toward the 90–70–90 targets
- Showcase innovations in HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment.
- Mobilise resources and partnerships for cervical cancer elimination activities.
- Announce new commitments to accelerate progress towards eliminating cervical cancer.
