Panama: WHO support for training community traceability teams

14 October 2020

With the support of the Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO) in Panama, the Center for Community Operation, Control and Traceability COVID-19 launched the second level of the Community Traceability Course. This course was designed for community volunteers and public officials who took the first level of the "Training in Biosecurity to Community Traceability Volunteers of SARS-COV-2 and COVID 19 and for the Application of Back to Normality Guidelines", and who are currently part of the Unified Community Traceability Teams. The three-day training was led by a team of experts who provided participants with the knowledge and tools to implement the community traceability strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in their communities.

WHO thanks all donors and partners who have contributed to fund the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan to combat COVID-19. A special appreciation goes to Member States and other contributors who provided flexible funds, making it possible for WHO to deliver a coherent, strategic and broad response.
