São Tomé and Príncipe: masks to frontline COVID-19 staff a donation from Jack Ma Foundation

To strengthen São Tomé and Príncipe’s response to COVID-19, WHO recently delivered 749 200 masks to the Ministry of Health.

The donation was made possible thanks to the Jack Ma Foundation. The batch consisted of 736 000 surgical masks and 13 200 N95 masks.

Since the beginning of the crisis, WHO has worked together with all UN agencies present in in São Tomé and Principe to support the country’s COVID-19 response. 

WHO thanks all donors and partners who have contributed to fund the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan to combat COVID-19. A special appreciation goes to Member States and other contributors who provided flexible funds, making it possible for WHO to deliver a coherent, strategic and broad response.
