Overview

The WHO Neurology and COVID-19 scientific brief was first published on 29 September 2021 as part of WHO’s rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This updated brief supersedes the previous version and aims to provide up-to-date, evidence-based information on the acute neurological manifestations of COVID-19, neurological sequelae associated with Post COVID-19 condition, the impact of COVID-19 on people with pre-existing neurological conditions and, although rare, neurological complications following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
