Summary report on the Regional workshop on the implementation of the global action plan on the public health response to dementia (‎2017–2025)‎, Doha, Qatar, 16-18 September 2023

Overview

This meeting report summarizes the key outcomes and conclusions of a regional dementia capacity building workshop that WHO organized with the support of the Ministry of Public Health and WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Ageing and Dementia in Doha, Qatar in September 2024. The main goal of the workshop was to speed up the implementation of the Global action plan on the public health response to dementia 2017-2025 within the region.

Over three days, more than 50 representatives from ministries of health , persons with lived experience, and civil society organizations, exchanged experiences and insights into country-specific needs, available resources, and key priority areas in relation to strengthening their national dementia response and monitoring its progress.
