Overview
The Planning and Budgeting Tool for Vaccine-Preventable Disease Surveillance in Priority Countries for Polio Transition aims to provide methodology and technical support to health authorities to quantify the resources required to sustain and strengthen vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) surveillance. The User Guide accompanies readers through the VPD surveillance budgeting exercise by explaining basic financial planning concepts and approaches to translating planned efforts into budget estimates, and showing how the exercise can be run smoothly with the tool designed for this purpose. National planning and budgeting specialists or organizational units are the primary users of the methodology. Development partners interested in capacity building in the areas of governance or sustainability and/or the performance of VPD surveillance may also find the methodology useful.WHO Team
