Overview
The guidelines show how people with HIV can be protected from tuberculosis with regular, low-cost preventive medication. The guidelines present a set of recommendations that will help reduce TB disease in people living with HIV, their families and communities through a combination of screening for TB and provision of IPT.
Target audience: The guidelines are aimed at health-care workers providing care for people living with HIV, policy-makers and health programme managers working in the field of HIV/AIDS and TB. These guidelines are also intended for governments, nongovernmental organizations, donors and patient support groups that address HIV and TB.
