Overview

The main results of the evidence synthesis are presented in summary of findings tables by PICO question.

Evidence was either lacking or very limited for the PICO questions, leading to very low or low certainty of evidence judgements for research questions with appraised evidence.

In the situations of no identified research evidence, expert panel members produced a narrative summary of observational evidence. This was discussed by the panel during the evidence to decision making process. Recommendations for these questions in which there was no identified evidence to appraise were made on expert consensus opinion within the evidence to decision framework.
