Report of the virtual regional consultation on yaws eradication in Africa, 11-12 April 2024

Overview

A virtual meeting was organized in the World Health Organization African Region from 11 to 12 April 2024 to discuss yaws eradication with stakeholders, as well as help countries to accelerate efforts in implementing the yaws eradication strategy and achieve 2030 targets set in the neglected tropical diseases road map 2021-2030.

The meeting aimed to update the epidemiological situation of yaws in the region, share the latest WHO guidance and country experiences on yaws eradication, and discuss ways forward to achieve the goal of yaws eradication as set in the NTD road map targets for 2030.
