Operationalizing Nurturing Care meeting report

Overview

This document is the report of the technical meeting convened by WHO on ‘Operationalizing Nurturing Care’ from 31st July to 2nd August 2017, in Geneva, Switzerland.

WHO convened the technical meeting with the aim to review scientific and programmatic evidence of effective approaches to reach caregivers and children with a core package of interventions that support nurturing care for early child development. The meeting was a first step towards the development of implementation guidance for policy makers and programme managers on how to operationalize nurturing care and support optimal development of children in the critical early years of life.
