Overview

This document assembles the currently available information from WHO, FAO, and other UN agencies, as well as that from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), on recommendations and guidelines on avian influenza that might be relevant to a country experiencing outbreaks of influenza in poultry or facing suspicion of human infections with avian influenza viruses. This document aims to provide country offices of WHO and national institutions with an overview of the key information needed for advising their Member States in response to questions raised on human health due to avian influenza animal outbreaks or detections. As more information becomes available, the document will be reviewed accordingly
