29 April 2000
| Technical document

Overview
In 1993, in Bangladesh, drinking-water samples from tubewells were found to contain high levels of arsenic. The primary purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology to analyse the health effects, how people cope with the socioeconomic consequences of the disease and to predict the beneficial effects of various alternative mitigation methods.
