Rotavirus vaccines: WHO position paper - July 2021

Overview

This position paper replaces the 2013 WHO position paper on rotavirus vaccines; it adds recent developments in the field, such as 2 additional rotavirus vaccines prequalified by WHO in 2018, as well as updated post-licensure safety and effectiveness data for the 2 previously prequalified rotavirus vaccines. Recommendations on the use of rotavirus vaccines were discussed by SAGE in October 2020.
