This document is specifically about impact assessment through serosurveys. This may be a standalone method or as part of a broader evaluation of hepatitis B control. Surveys of this kind have been carried out in a number of areas of the world. This document will be a resource for countries whishing to carry out a hepatitis B survey and is primarily aimed at the lead investigator(s) to assist them in designing the surveys.
